Superman & Lois is the latest in a long line of DC Comics-based television shows appearing on The CW network. Lucy's involvement suggests there could be more crossovers to follow and the character Supergirl may join too. Dewan played Lucy across 13 episodes of the series Supergirl in 2015. Jenna Dewan ( Step Up) is reprising her role as Lucy Lane and joining Season 2 of Superman & Lois. Many of the other characters seen in Season 1 will return, including Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons, who has been promoted to a series regular. Hoechlin and Tulloch are definitely returning for Season 2, and Jordan Elsass and Alex Garfin, who play the Kent sons are also back. The pilot episode premieres on BBC One in the UK on Saturday, December 4, at 5:40 p.m. That means it has the same amount of episodes of a typical season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The season was originally supposed to consist of 13 episodes, but The CW ordered an additional two episodes, bringing the count to 15. That is considerably shorter than most Arrowverse seasons but given that all of the shows have shorter episode counts this year because of the delays and filming modifications needed during the pandemic, it’s completely understandable that Superman and Lois has less episodes. Superman and Lois‘ first season consists of 15 episodes.
But how many episodes are in the first season? How many episodes are in Superman and Lois season 1? While the series has been on US screens since February 2021, it now reaches UK fans on BBC One every Saturday night. It’s set in a post- Crisis On Infinite Earths Arrowverse so it uses that to rewrite some of Clark and Lois’ story but the differences do not detract from the absolutely awe-inspiring spectacle that the show is. Picking up much later into Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s story than previous adaptations, the show reimagines them as parents to two teenage boys that are in the midst of discovering themselves and their own family’s history.
